A Way With Words offers Capoeira classes for children as part of the early childhood education program. Playful strategies are used to make children discover rhythms and movements which promote body consciousness in a fun way.

Capoeira is recommended for the development of good posture and for the prevention of muscular tension in children of all ages. While imitating animals and folkloric characters, as the Saci, the children build a sense of balance. The Capoeira classes also give the children a chance to spontaneously and in an integrated manner, discover their bodies, their voices and initiate a contact with instruments.

The objectives of the Capoeira classes at A Way With Words are to develop body consciousness, spark interest for Brazilian Culture, while entertaining, stretching and exercising the children
